Spring is in bloom!

The trees may be sleeping in, but groundcover is buzzing with activity already. Flowers have started to wake up and our bizzy little friends are gathering their breakfast. This is just the beginning, there will be so many more flowers soon.

“Spring Beauty” (is the name of this flower)

“Pachysandra”

A patch of “Lungwort” (purple and red) and “Lesser Celandine” (yellow)

“Bloodroot”

“Periwinkle”

“Field Pussytoes”

“Purple Deadnettle”

All pictures were taken in the wild on Easter day, March 31st at Ridley Creek State Park. Plants were identified with the help of Pl@ntNet Identify (free to use).
