Introducing: Penncrest Land Conservation Club!
In September, MTLC voted unanimously to collaborate with the Penncrest Land Conservation Club (PLCC), a teen-led club at Penncrest High School. PLCC's main goals are to spread awareness about the importance of land conservation, and to promote the protection of our water sources, and value of our outdoor recreational spaces.
Later in the month, PLCC hosted a table at the school club fair inviting new members. 85 students, grades 9-12 signed up showing interest in the club! This month the club will meet to vote on club officers and start brainstorming fundraising ideas. It's exciting to see the next generation getting involved!
MTLC is thrilled to support the Penncrest Land Conservation Club as they embark on their journey to inspire and educate their peers. We’re committed to offering PLCC the resources they need to make a meaningful impact, whether through educational outreach on MTLC’s platform or by joining forces for hands-on projects like stream cleanups and trail maintenance. Together, we can foster a deeper understanding of conservation and empower the next generation to take direct action in protecting our community’s natural spaces.
